Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
As 2017 is coming to an end I can't help but reflect on the last 12 months. In a way I am glad this year is over, not that is was a bad year, but because I appreciate the chance to start new.
See for me the New Year's celebration also bring my birthday really close and so for me this time of year has always been a time to reflect and plan. A chance to take inventory and dream of bigger and better things!
2017 was a great year!
Let's see:
I started the year of with a bang and had a book signing at Book People. My teacher Chef Pavla made amazing delicious treats for that event!
We participated in Maker Fair & Women's Expo,
Raised money for Harvey Victims by doing a Bake Sale
Won entrepreneur of the month in December at the Business Owners Networking group
Taught 95 classes
Taught 12 parties
Sold countless books (honestly I am not sure as of right now how many books I have sold)
Re-modeled the classroom and made it a bit more efficient for teaching
Appeared on KXAN Studio 512 10 times
I beca a board member of the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.
Sold three dozen Swedish princess cakes and baked about 2500 christmas cookies
Also I taught a class at Google Munich
And all of this would have not happened without the constant loving support of you!
My heartfelt thank you for sending your kids to my classes, thank you for taking classes yourself, thank you supporting me and my business to succeed.
This is our annual photo. My boys have outgrown me and continue to amaze me!
In Germany we say "Guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr" which literally means "good slide into the new year". It is a lovely saying in my eyes, because it includes not only a wonderful new year wish but wishing you a great transition into the new year.
2017 was a weird year for many of us. I think a lot of us are glad to see this year go, so I wish you a wonderful new start.
GUTEN RUTSCH INS NEUE JAHR!
