Dear Friends,
I hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the arrival of spring. I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting news with you all. As some of you may know, this past weekend I had the pleasure of attending two beautiful weddings.
First, my stepson Christopher tied the knot with his sweetheart Madeline in a lovely ceremony in California. It was a family affair, with my youngest officiating the ceremony, my oldest serving as best man, and Christopher's other half-brother providing the music. We have had two dachshunds join the ceremony! Mom and dad hosted a wonderful rehearsal dinner 🥂, and I even had the honor of baking the cake! It was a truly heartwarming celebration, filled with love, laughter, and lots of dancing.
The next day, I rushed off to another venue to decorate a wedding cake with sugar flowers I had made the week prior. The topper was from the bride's parents' wedding 28 years ago (that I also attended in Germany)- how special! I had the honor to watch the bride grow up, so being able to contribute to her wedding was incredible! I was so grateful to have been a part of both celebrations, and can't wait to see how these two wonderful couples' lives unfold.
Now that I'm back in Austin, I'm getting ready for a busy season of summer camps. I'm dusting off my mixers and tools (for in-person classes), getting my cameras and studio set up (for online classes), and prepping all the recipes for the upcoming sessions. It's been a while since we've been able to have in-person camps, so I'm excited to welcome everyone back to my home and get back to doing what I love most - sharing my passion for baking & cooking with all of you.
As always, I'm grateful for your continued support and friendship. Here's to a summer filled with sweet treats, yummy dinners and happy memories.
Two things before I log off:
Please vote for me at the Austin Chronicle Best of Austin Poll - Kids/Family - Best Summer Camp! It would mean so much to me (and I believe also you can vote twice 😀). Voting ends May 15th, tell your friends too please!
And as the time moves forward don’t miss your chance to sign up for summer camps- we have both virtual and in person. Another camps just filled up yesterday.
Best,
Chef Pascal
PS: Next week I am back with more recipes. Thank you for your patience as I am settling back in.
