Hello everyone, meet Ethan, a former Bake Austin student turned Japanese sous chef!
Ethan and his brother came to my original location for baking classes 8 years ago. A few weeks back we met up to discuss his career in the culinary arts. He is currently working as a prep cook in a Japanese kitchen and is planning on attending Le Cordon Bleu Paris. He shared how inspired he was by working with me all those years ago, and that his love for culinary started with Bake Austin. What an honor!
This past Friday, Ethan spent the day with us making Pate Choux dough and Croquembouche with my teacher Chef Pavla. In a couple of weeks he will assist me in my Virtual Japanese Class, since he gained a lot of knowledge about Japanese cooking, I thought it might be inspiring to my other students.
