Oh and in two days itโs Thanksgiving!
I will be making these yummy biscuits and wanted to share this recipe with you.
Chef Pascalโs Favorite Biscuits (makes about 6-7 biscuits)
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp sugar
3/4 tsp salt
6 Tbsp very cold unsalted butter
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
Instructions:
Preaheat the ovent to 425 Fahrenheit
Chop up the butter into small chunks and stick it back in the fridge or the freezer to keep the butter nice and cold!
Measure the milk in a liquid measuring cup and add the lemon juice or vinegar. Let that sit while you do the next step.
In a large bowl add the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt and stir to combine.
Add the butter and milk to the flour and quickly rub the butter pieces together with your fingers, combining them with the flour to create a shaggy dough.
Do not let the butter get too soft.
Once the butter pieces are pea-sized, press the dough together a few times.
Flatten the dough on the counter or cutting board to about 1โ thick and use a 2 3/4โ - 3โ round cookie cutter or you can use a pint glass as well, and cut as many biscuits as you can (it should make 6-7 biscuits)
Place on parchment-covered cookie sheet about 1 finger width apart and bake for 12-13 minutes until golden brown.
Enjoy!
Have a happy Thanksgiving!
I am grateful for all of yaโll!
Much love,
Chef Pascal
